However, if this program does not address the other issues like Mercantilist Trading practices, Currency Manipulation, predatory pricing, massive over regulation and tax competitiveness, it is doomed to failure. In the real world; today’s innovation is tomorrow’s commodity. The facts say it may be innovated and developed here, but without the other issues mentioned earlier properly dealt with, it will not be manufactured in the USA but in countries that ignore global trade and subsidy rules and laws…..yes like China but many more than just China.
WAKE UP AMERICA! We need a broad based and comprehensive manufacturing agenda that deals with the fundamental barriers to our global competitiveness. It is not a lack of skills, or a network of fifteen public-private innovation hubs focused on solving common manufacturing problems, where each network would focus on a specific manufacturing process, technology, or method.
It’s currency manipulation, by China in particular, and barriers to our exports by other countries, or State Owned Industries that aren’t profit motivated but built with massive overcapacity for political stability at home. The exporting of the massive overcapacity results into illegally dumped products and when adding the 50% cost advantage of Currency manipulation to that advantage, well you get the idea. The hurdle for US Manufacturers to overcome is literally insurmountable. Hence the massive loss of Manufacturing here over the last 20 years and the destruction of the our Middle Class.
WAKE UP AMERICA, it’s up to us to get this discussion on track to accomplish what they say they want and we want as well….for real. Thanks Senators Brown and Blunt and Representatives Reed and Kennedy for getting the ball rolling but don’t stop there. You (Sen. Brown; Rep. Reed) and I have talked together many times on the full list of issues and I know you agree with our view here. Please extend the fight to solving all the issues needed to REVITALIZE US BASED MANUFACTURIUNG!!!
LET’S DO IT TOGETHER,
